| So I have a Yaesu 897d that's running on battery power the manual States that I can go into menu mode and scroll to menu 44 and change the display from 3 seconds to continuous in battery mode as long as I'm tuning the radio the problem is when I go into menu mode there is no menu 44 so how do I correct the display going out after 3 seconds I mean I'm looking at the manual and it's telling me to go to menu 44 in fact the menu numbers don't even go in sequence they make a jump from 1then 15 to 20 to 40 to 43, 45 etc, this is just an example, nothing in menu has anything to do about keeping the backlighting on when tuning the radio |
