This is a Scouting America club that helps out with Scouting's Jamboree on the Air, Radio merit badge and ham radio licensing events in the Occoneechee Council of North Carolina. We teach Tech Licensing classes and porovide the FCC Exam for all Scouts, Scouters (adults), and those in the local community who would like to attend. The first weekend of December each year the club holds a "TECH CLASS IN THE WOODS" event. This is a very compressed tech class where those attending need to read the manual several times, and we aid in helping them understand the material better. We have never had a single person not achieve the license level they were attempting, and several attained a higher level.

Recently, the club is establishing a repeater at the camp, Camp Durant in Carthage, NC. 145.02 MHz, + offset, CTCSS: 110.9
