The Livonia ARC is a vibrant, growing club with lots of expertise in many different facets of amateur radio. We love to mentor people wanting to learn new modes and skills. We hold many activities during the year to encourage member participation- MI QSO Party, Field Day, Edmund Fitzgerald Special Event Station, and our monthly "LARC in the Park," a (usually) outdoor activity at a city park, with a club member demonstrating or teaching some aspect of ham radio technical or operating skill. Our February Swap-and-Shop is always an eagerly anticipated event in the Detroit Area.

LARC maintains a close working relationship with the LIvonia Police Department's Emergency Preparedness office, and maintains backup communications equipment (N8LPD) at the Livonia Emergency Operations Center. A team of EMCOMM-trained operators is on call to respond and assist local authorities with communications when called upon.

Our monthly meetings are held in-person, and also made available on Zoom. Our great monthly newsletter "The Repeater" is sent to members and available on the club website.
