Description:

The Lake Whitney Amateur Radio Society (LWARS) is a group for people who love ham radio!

Ham Radio/Amateur Radio is a worldwide hobby of communication using VHF/UHF/HF radios. Though a popular hobby, during times of emergency or disaster, HAM radio is widely used and is often the only means of emergency communication.

Meets every 2nd Saturday at the Whitney Library at 10 A.M. All amateur operators or those interested in the hobby are cordially invited to attend.

F.C.C. License Training and Testing available -No Morse Code is required

Training Nets every Thursday at 7 P.M. LWARS Repeater 146.620 Mhz Tone 123 open to any licensed amateur operator.
