Are you experiencing interference from a solar array?
FCC is Actively Seeking Solar Array Interference Complaints NS6Q on 15/2/17
I have been working for over a year to resolve an interference issue caused by a solar array a few houses down (daytime VHF noise level S9+ during the day).

As part of this process I talked with Ms Chen at the FCC. I mentioned that solar array interference is a big issue for hams. She said that I was the only one she knew about. She asked me to spread the word and have hams with solar array interference issues to do the following.

1 - Create an interference complaint with the FCC about your solar array interference issue at: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us

2 - Email her with the specifics of your solar array interference issue.

Be sure to include the complaint ticket number and why you believe the solar array is the source of the interference issue.

For everybody with a solar array interference issue, the FCC is listening and wants to hear from you.

ARRL QST Android app is Potentially Dangerous NS6Q on 9/7/16
I thought I would use the ARRL Android app to read QST. As with all Android apps I load, I did a quick review of the app's permissions.

This app has the potential to be one dangerous app!!! Look at the permissions it has (things it is allowed to do behind your back).

Below are some of the things it can do to you and ways it can steal from you. I put *** some of the more outrageous ones. Note: I an not saying the app does these things, just that it can (I would have to rip the app apart to lean more). Why ask for things it is not going to use? That is not a very trusting start of a relationship.

I would expect the ARRL to respond by saying something like "oh but we don't use all those permissions, don't worry, be happy". That wold be like saying "Can I have you credit cards, I won't use them but can I have them anyway"?

All this just to read a PDF file of a magazine on your device?
