| Secondary and repeater (WR) callsigns went away when the current callsign assignment system went into effect in March 1978. Those licenses that were still in effect could be used until they expired, but they could not be renewed. In my case, I held both types, and they expired in 1979 (A ham license had a 5-year term then). Callsigns are one to a customer now. |
