If you ever need to hear what a satellite pass sounds like, review a pass that you didn't record or need to demonstrate what the audio will sound like, check out Papays.com. He's recorded the FM LEO satellites going back to 2010 in mp3 format. http://papays.com/sat/general.html Use in the classroom? If you're going to get your kids involved in actual satellite operations, this is a wonderful way to have them practice copying phonetic alphabet as well as grid squares. Practicing with recordings like this is a great way to make sure the kids know exactly what to expect when you're ready to work a pass. That way your kids can "hit the ground running" and not waste a pass that you may have scheduled for that day's activity. |
