Below are course materials developed by ARRL for EC-001 (updated in 2019). The materials can be downloaded and used by Field Instructors for in-person instruction. Field Instructors may also register their class and/or exam sessions, and request exam materials from ARRL:

Offering A Hybrid Or Online Course
Offering a hybrid (partially online) or online (fully online) course is a great option for those field instructors who want to teach part or all of their EC-001 classes online. Field instructors can choose from a variety of free file sharing options for putting their content online, such as Google Drive or Dropbox, or online classroom software such as Google Classroom.

Below are resources developed by Emergency Communcations Field Instructors that are shared for others to use as a foundation for instruction. You may download them and adapt them for your use. Modify them to add content relevant to your community. You may contact the author if you have any questions.

Downloadable Course Material
The downloadable course materials for the new Introduction to Emergency Communication course is now available. This may be used as a student study text for field classroom instruction.
Updates, Error Correction and Supplementary Material to Printed Course Material. Publications of AREC course content are not updated as frequently as the online courses. You'll find links to audio and video files referenced in the course as well as any recent updates to the course content on our Product Notes page.
