The PVARC covers public service, DXing, experimentation, and enjoying all aspects of amateur radio.  The club has interesting speakers at its monthly hybrid meetings (visitors always welcome) and encourages members to participate in the annual public service activities where we provide communication services.  Many PVARC members belong to one of the many city-sponsored disaster amateur radio services, the Los Angeles County Disaster Communications Service overseen by the Sheriff's Department, or the ARRL's ARES.

The PVARC offers free Technician and General Class license classes three times annually at Hesse Park.  Additional on-site license classes have been provided to employees of local school districts and hospitals.

We communicate with all members through our monthly QRO newsletter and emailed Weekly Bulletins.

The PVARC also has two special interest groups meeting monthly in addition to general meetings. The PVARC's HF Enthusiasts Group  meets on the 2nd Saturday each month at the Palos Verdes Library main branch in Rolling Hills Estates during 10 am-Noon.  The PVARC's VHF/UHF Enthusiasts Group meets via Zoom on the 4th Wednesday each month (except holidays) during 8:00-9:00 pm.

All amateurs are welcome to join regardless of city of residence.
