The BBARC covers Brewster, Jeff Davis, Presidio, and Pecos counties in West Texas.  The club maintains seven 2m linked repeaters covering 18,000 square miles.  Weekly nets include the Sunday Big Bend Emergency Net on 80m SSB, and Wednesday 2m Net on the repeater system.  Meetings and exams are at the Mason's Building, 2300 N Highway 118 Alpine.   Visitors to Big Bend National Park should bring their 2m radios and get the repeater information from the club's web site.  There is no cell phone service in most of the four-county area, and hams are the best hope for emergency contacts in remote areas.
